FAQ
What is the Hybrid Running Camp all about?
This is a unique endurance-focused training experience designed for hybrid athletes who want to improve their running and overall performance. We’ll train, live, eat, and breathe like the best runners in the world — right in the heart of Kenya’s elite running community. The camp is built on the principles of altitude training, cultural immersion, and holistic development, both physically and mentally.
Is this camp only for runners?
No — this is a hybrid camp, but running will be the main focus. Athletes from functional fitness, HYROX, endurance, and OCR backgrounds are all welcome. The program will also include strength and conditioning work, running-specific strength, and technical sessions.
Where will the camp take place?
We’ll be based in a high-altitude training center near Eldoret, Kenya — home to some of the greatest distance runners in the world. The center sits at over 2,400 meters (7,800+ ft) and has immediate access to forest trails, running tracks, and safe, scenic routes.

When should I book my flights?
Do not book flights yet.
We will confirm flight booking dates after we reach the minimum number of registered athletes. You’ll receive detailed instructions before September 15th. Once we give the green light, you’ll be ready to plan your travel.Travel Options & Indications
Flights aren´t included.
After receiving specific instructions, book your international flight to Nairobi (NBO – Jomo Kenyatta International Airport). From Nairobi, there are several daily domestic flights to Eldoret (approx. 50 minutes) via Kenya Airways and Jambo Jet — both are safe and reliable.
Most athletes will need to spend one night in Nairobi before continuing to Eldoret the next day. We’ll send complete travel guidance after registration to help you plan the journey smoothly. Are airport transfers included?
Yes. Once you arrive in Eldoret, we’ll be there to pick you up at the airport and bring you directly to the training center. We’ll also organize the return transfer at the end of the camp.
Can I book extra nights at the camp?
Yes — if necessary, you may book one extra night before the camp starts and one night after it ends. However, due to the center’s limited space and staffing, no additional nights beyond that can be accommodated.
What if the camp doesn’t reach the minimum number of participants?
We need a minimum of 20 athletes to make the camp happen. If we don’t reach that number by September 15th 2025, the camp will be canceled and you will receive a full refund.
What do I need to bring?
We’ll send a full packing list and preparation guide after your registration. You’ll also receive an ESN pack with supplements to bring with you if you need them. The center has basic groceries. We will go 2x to the supermarket/shopping center in Eldoret, which has everythin
Is it safe? Are there health concerns?
Yes, the area is completely safe. The altitude (2,400+ meters) actually means there is no malaria or mosquito-related disease risk, but we still advise you to schedule a traveler’s consultation with your doctor for general advice.
All water at the center is drinkable, and meals are clean and prepared for athletes. What’s the training like?
You’ll run every day, often twice per day, but everything is adapted to your individual pace and capacity. You can always skip a session to rest or recover. The training program includes:-

I've learnt a lot not only about running, but also about solidarity, appreciation and life itself. Kenya has left a mark on my mind and in my heart.

As a lifelong endurance athlete, this felt like a childhood dream come true. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to train in the running mecca, at altitude, alongside some of the world’s best athletes—it was truly one of a kind.
What I cherished most was being surrounded by incredible human beings. I was reminded that true happiness comes from life’s simplest moments. This experience taught me so much—about others, about human nature, but most importantly, about myself.
Thank you, Kenya. Thank you, Complete Sports. Thank you, Athletic Camps.

I will always be grateful to everyone who made this possible for these unforgettable experiences and inspirations!
